AOK Summer Costume Reminders

​Hello,

There are still several AOK shows this summer season.  Please take the time necessary to prepare how you look before arriving to a show.

Please read over the following costume reminders:

1. A day before a show, look at the AOK Member Calendar to check which costumes are needed.
   
2. Clean and iron or steam all costumes.  Remember, do not place AOK costumes in the dryer.
   
3. Pack all necessary costumes and shoes.
   
4. When arriving to a show site and when leaving a show site, wear travel AOK attire including AOK purple shirt and black skort (girls) or black shorts (boys), no-show socks and black Keds/Vans.
   
5. Hair and makeup must be done before arriving to show site.  Braids are fine for Girls unless told otherwise.  
   
6. Girls must wear red lipstick and bring along their OWN red lipstick for touch ups.
   
7. All jewelry must be removed before arriving to a show site including body piercings.
   
8. All Henna Tattoos, unnatural hair coloring, nail polish and any other body art must be removed before a show.  

Please remember to follow the above costume rules so that you can perform on stage for each show.  We really appreciate your cooperation. We want our AOK group to look it’s best for every show!
